Last week, our partner Beatriz Leycegui participated in the panel “Mexico’s Economy on the Move” during PE Day powered by White & Case LLP — as a part of Mexico Investment Week 2025 in New York.
The panel, moderated by Francisco de Rosenzweig (Partner, White & Case), brought together key voices including Ramón Escobar (Managing Director, Actum LLC) and Roberto Lazzeri (Director General, NAFIN – Bancomext) to discuss how Mexico’s economy continues to evolve — particularly through the lens of international trade, a cornerstone of our country’s economic movement for decades under NAFTA and now the USMCA.

• The current status of the USMCA revision/renegotiation.
• How the North American private sector can contribute to strengthening the USMCA.
• The opportunities that lie ahead for Mexican investors in this new chapter of trade relations.

Beyond the panel, Beatriz also attended insightful discussions during BIVA Day NYC 2025 and recognizes the valuable contributions of AMEXCAP and Amafore, underscoring the importance of diverse perspectives in building and scaling Mexico’s investment platform.
