He has also advised various transnational companies on a wide range of structured financing, corporate matters and the establishment of investments in Mexico. He also has solid experience in the area of international and investment arbitration, as a party attorney and as an arbitrator, under the free trade agreements signed by Mexico.
In the public sector, he was General Director of the Legal Consultancy of the Ministry of Economy and Legal Affairs Advisor to the Office of the President of the Republic.
He holds a law degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and a degree in Economics from Universidad Iberoamericana, as well as a Master of Laws degree from Harvard University (LL.M.). He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and is licensed to practice in the federal and local courts of that state.
